I photograph little paws in natural play

Passionate dog photographer with a little papillon

In this photo, my little papillon Pico made me laugh because he unexpectedly hopped into my lap while I was shooting

Making memories of joy last

When the lockdowns began in the pandemic, it’s no secret that many people found that their mental health had declined. I stopped seeing people’s smiles and laughs, and there was a lingering empty feeling about that.

I picked up my camera and began bringing it to dog parks where I shot photos of dogs in the funniest predicaments - with goofy faces, ears flying, legs in the air, or running so fast that their eyes were wide open! I’d show pup parents these photos, and their faces filled with surprise and whole-hearted laughs. The sound of their belly laughs changed the atmosphere and they went home with smiles on their faces. This set off my journey to bring back the joy through my lens with a specialization of dogs in motion.

It was the perfect combination - the happiness of pets which lead to the happiness of owners. I realized this set me apart in that I don’t always focus on posed and pretty shots - I focus on that time your dog’s drool whipped around its head from chasing, or that time your dog was so happy and ran so fast that the dirt or snow splashed from its paws, or that time your dog was so happy to see you she/he was airborne! These are the moments I aim to capture and to keep permanent in your photo album as well as your heart.

Each of my photos tell a unique story. I hope my photography brings as much joy to you as it does to me!
